Unfortunately, no. That's where the anime caught up to the still-running manga, so they had to stop. No more eps being planned either, AFAIK. On the good side, the manga was just licensed by Tokyopop at AX, so you'll (eventually) get to see what happens after the end of the anime.

Actually, according to my sources. There is a 2nd Season of Fruits Basket rumored to be in production. Which I certainly hope is proven to be true...

And with what Schpyder said, I think that the anime will be produced in conjunction with the manga. But that's just my guess... Smile

I have read the Chinese version of the manga up to vol 11 - vol 12 was recently released in Japan. I found the anime presentation of the story is much superior than the manga. For example the events in episode 8 and 15 is much more moving in the anime, probably due to the music and pacing. The content of the events are basically the same between the anime and manga, but many are presented in different order.

So I think a second season would be really nice. The background story of Uotani and Hanajima certainly deserve their own episodes.

Yeah, I couldn't believe how they ended it like that, but I was glad that <spoiler> Though I wonder if they will make a second series for Fruits Basket. I haven't read the manga as of yet, but I do know Kyo is my favorite character besides Tohru and Haru.

Mod Edit: Try to watch the spoilers, I'm kind of dissapointed because I have seen it all yet.

Hurray! now please stop reviving threads. though this one is only about a week old, so not too bad. It's general policy not to revive threads that haven't had discussion for some period... Wink

Oh poo. One month might be a bit much. One week isn't bad. At least, I for one wouldn't mind, if it actually brought something new and interesting to the thread.

Think more along the lines of news, or things the rest of us would like to know about. It's good that you like Kyou and all, but most people here aren't interested unless they have reason to be, like if it were a new series and people were looking for opinions.

My $0.02.

Actually, we have a plug-in that locks old threads (I forget at what time, a month maybe? month and a half?), so I would consider threads fair game if they are not locked.

Edit: Hrm, it seems its set to 3 months, that is a tad old.

Actually, it's not even working right now. Razz It was made for an earlier version of phpBB, and apparently doesn't work right with this version.

how hard is 'update posts set status = locked where last_post_time < %d and status <> locked' % (time() - 60*60*24*31*months) ?
